Erika Kramarik is an independent illustrator and printmaker from Cluj-Napoca, where is a member of Comics Club Cluj. Her work was exhibited at the Brașov Historical Comics Festival in 2025 and is part of the official selection for Platforma BD 2026. Her illustration work started early: during highschool, she used to draw cartoons for local publications, and in 2011 she took part in Animation Worksheep. Her stop-motion short films were screened at Anim’est that same year. She has a day job working in marketing and sales, where she spends too many calls doodling.
She draws inspiration from the Arts and Crafts movement, the natural sciences, modern European history, French and Japanese illustration and comics, as well as her personal experience of living with a chronic illness.
She speaks Romanian, English, and conversational German and Italian.
